Follow Your Bliss to a Better You. by Scar Dirty

What’s up everybody. I was just sitting here thinking about chasing dreams and what It takes to actually takes to chase those dreams. I’ve been rapping since I can remember, but I’ve only been doing music as a profession since 2008, but in that short time I have accomplished more than people may know… Everyday people ask me questions concerning the music business or chasing dreams in general. Therefore I have came up with a few Dirty tips, that I think will help anybody on their path to happiness and freedom.
For me, chasing my dreams had nothing to do with money or being famous. Chasing my dreams for me is all about freedom. Freedom of not having to clock in and out of a typical 9 to 5 job, freedom to express myself, and freedom of life in general. I tell people all the time, if you want to get in this game and really live off of it, you better give it all you got. Coming up as a rapper in Valdosta,Ga, I saw a lot of empty pockets and hungry nights, but the passion I had for music always kept my stomach full. Like I said, I didn’t get into this game for the money, I got in this game because I have passion for it. Until 2008, the furthest I had been on the outside of Valdosta, Ga, was Orlando, Fla. I remember thinking that nothing existed outside of my city because I had never seen anything. Then one day that all changed and since then I can’t even remember all of the places I’ve been. I’m talking, from working in the mall, to being in several national magazines and flying on planes headlining my own shows to places I’ve only seen on TV. But that’s just the beginning or my story. Remember, I’m just getting started…
Here are a few tips to get you started on following your bliss to accomplishing your wildest dreams.
.Decide what makes you happy. Find Your Bliss
. Don’t ask permission to chase a dream. ( Just Do It! )
. Block out anything or anyone that is a distraction to you obtaining you full potentials. ( Phone, Tv, Friends, Parties etc: ).Stay focused
. Never quit. The day you quit is the day you lose.
. Keep positive people around you at all times, cut everyone else off. ( It seems cold, but it’s fair. ) Remember, you only have one life to live. Truth is, most of your peers won’t understand or even like this new version of you. But never fear. Those that want to see you succeed will try to succeed with you.
. Never let money be the only reason that you do, or don’t do something pertaining to your dream.
. Believe in yourself.
. Don’t tell anybody about the moves you’re making until after those moves have been made. ( Sometimes people will pray for your failure so make sure you keep your good news to yourself until you have completed that level. )
. Never let the kid in you die. The moment one can’t find a reason to smile, is the day that one has lost sight of life. No matter what, always remember that there is a reason to be happy and grateful.
These are just some things to keep in my mind everyday. I hope they help you out with whatever you want to do in life. I believe in you.
